Today I made a basic platformer. The main learning experiences was making "coyote time" allowing players to jump a split second after leaving a platform, creating double-jump tokens, creating platforms that only have collisions when falling, and accounting for the average reaction time.

Assets used:

This game is compatible with keyboard (WASD + Spacebar) and controller (Left stick to move, (XBox: A, Playstation: X, Switch: B) to jump

Known issues:

  • Invisible tutorial for double jump token unclear
  • Trees may snap player downward while falling

These issues may be resolved in a future polish update.
